Living consciously and slowing down

If you analyze your daily routine, you will probably discover that there are obligations and distractions that you could eliminate; you do everything quickly, most of the time without living in the moment. You take positive situations as “natural”, while you tend to pay all your attention to the negative. This dynamic affects our balance and well-being.

Today I share with you some recommendations that work for me to live consciously on a daily basis and slow down, as a contribution to my well-being:

- PLAN. Take responsibility and take control of your routine. You can use the medium you prefer, technological or not. I use an agenda to write down what I have to do each day, establishing the corresponding schedules. What is not necessary or important comes out of it. Of course, there are unforeseen events, but try to stick to your schedule as best you can.

Also, I establish the moment and maximum time that I will dedicate to what distracts me. This may vary from person to person, but good examples would be talking on the phone, checking networks, chatting on WhatsApp, watching television, applications, electronic games, etc. Detect what your distractions are and manage them so that they do not prevail over your agenda of priorities.

- DO NOT RUN. Part of your planning involves establishing realistic and viable times for your activities, stick to them and you will see how you can achieve them. When you're in time, ease off the throttle; faster does not necessarily mean better.

- LIVE EVERY MOMENT. Enjoy from the simple to the complex. If it dawns and you feel good, if you drink a delicious coffee, eat something you like, if something goes well, if you are alone or if you share with other people, simply ENJOY IT.

Generally, we have a coffee alone or with someone, and instead of being there living the experience, savoring the coffee, enjoying the person, the conversation, what is interesting that they say to us, we are aware of the clock, the telephone, what will we do next, etc.

But if, on the contrary, something does not go as you wanted, you spend the day reviewing the bad experience and intoxicating your thoughts with the negative emotions that it generates in you, instead of accepting and detecting how this represents an opportunity to move forward, even better. or more easily, in achieving your goals.

My proposal is that you become aware of the present moment, of the experience you are living, and enjoy it. If it is not positive, think that sometimes life has a better plan for you than yours, then, with confidence and security, activate creativity and resilience and come out of the situation strengthened and successful.

Nothing is more important than balance and well-being.
